4 years of blogging

It has been a great 4 years of noting my thoughts, primarily on the M's. However, I have had a steady decline in my posts. I hope to improve upon that. I also added an application (Bill S. this should also work on iPod touch) that will allow me to remote blog from my iPhone.

We attended FanFest this past weekend. Heard a little bit from Don Wakumatsu as we were gearing up to run the bases. It was too cold in the dugout discussion area to sit with our little one. We just rounded the bases and had some lunch and took in a few rays.

No one is saying this, but this will be a rebuildling year. We have some talent that could play out very well. I am looking forward to Franklin Gutierrez taking the field this season, he should be one to watch. One thing that Franklin does bring is patiences at the plate. We were horrible last year. I recall watching many games were we ended the inning on 3 outs on 3 pitches. Never a stat to write home about.

The AL West will be a nice race to watch, especially for A's and Angel fans. Those two teams have gained and lost the mostt. In fact, I look to the A's to take first place this season.

Interesting Thanksgiving dinner

Mark McGwire's brother came forward and stated he injected his brother with steroids starting back in 1994. To be a fly on the wall for that family reunion.

Sign Josh Fields

With Spring training about a month away, there is still no sign of Josh Fields in an M's uniform. With the departure of Putz, our closer position is currently open. Having played 4 solid years at Georgia, Fields could be the closer right out of Spring training.

I am sure his A-hole agent Boras is well aware of this. There appears to be about 500K in salary difference between Boras (2 Mil asking) and the M's (1.5 Mil offering). Give me a break and sign for the 1.5 mil. As far as I am concerned, Boras is not doing Fields any favors.

I cannot wait for the pitchers and catchers to report. FanFest is only 4 days away!

remote blogging

Had to test out blogging from my iPhone. I hope to use this for additional time killing.

2009....

As I am watching more snow fall outside my window, I am still excited for FanFest in 3 weeks. Just the thought of baseball makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Today, I had no idea who made the playoffs. To be honest, I did not care.

I have nothing major to write about today, more or less just killing time.

I will do a BOTW review with the last beer from my homebrew supply. Sorry Bill, the beer matured in mid-December. I should have given you a couple to take home as it turned out well.

Well, should get back to Fantasy baseball research, need to work on "three-in-a-row".
